Michelle is a funeral assistant at Caldwell Raddatz Funeral Home & Crematory. She is attending the Mortuary Science program at Des Moines Area Community College, and is in training to become a funeral director. She is looking forward to pursing a career in funeral service.

Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Central College in Pella. She trains thoroughbred horses to race and manages her farmland and acreage at her home in Monroe. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, photography, knitting, and cooking.

Michelle has three children and two grandchildren. Her daughter, Meegan, is an attorney; her son, Ryan, owns his own construction company; and her younger son, Ross, farms north of Newton. Her grandsons, Tristin and Gaige, enjoy going to the farm and riding bicycles.
