Jill started working at Caldwell-Raddatz as a student attending the Mortuary Science program at Des Moines Area Community College. After graduating and the completion of an internship, she became licensed in 2007.

Prior to attending DMACC, Jill received her bachelor’s degree in business from Northwestern College in Orange City, and an associate’s degree from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. Jill grew up in funeral service, as her family has owned a funeral home in Gowrie for many years . She is now fourth generation funeral director. Her parents, Ned and Colleen Palmer, reside in Gowrie, and her brother, Scott, lives in Minneapolis, MN.

Jill now lives on a farm near Yale with her husband, Lee, and daughter, Bridget. She enjoys shopping, golfing, and spending time with her family and friends.
