The Roaring Twenties were a time of great optimism and hope in America. At the very start of the decade, Roy and Esther Caldwell expressed that optimism by founding their funeral home in Des Moines. The company served the community well under their leadership, and was purchased by James D. Raddatz in 1987. He built a beautiful, modern facility, including a crematory, and moved the funeral home to its present location on Hickman Road in Urbandale.
Jim Raddatz and his wife, Karolyn, have fostered the decades-old "Caldwell Tradition" of assisting those who have experienced a loss. We offer caring attention to the family’s needs and desires, affordable services, and the deepest personal concern, giving you their complete attention through every aspect of the planning process.
